Where can I find a large glass water bottle for my RATS?

They're pure evil I swear.
Every water bottle I buy for them lasts a couple hours.
I must resort to glass.
I was using a dish attached to the cage for awhile but they kept poking their blankets in it& bits of food or just tipping it by poking at it somehow& lifting it off the bars
I do like actual water bottles more than dishes for water.
I went to Walmart& saw 1 glass water bottle once.
Now thats once.
& It was mighty small.
I want a larger water bottle [glass so unchewable!!] for my rats,anyone have a link where I can order?

You can also get metal hangers for the plastic bottles that guard them from getting chewed. They have them at most pet stores.

Are your rats chewing thru the bottle thru the bars?

You can do what I do until you can afford those Lixit bottles. Get hardware cloth and make outside guards. I have used a mouse cage ramp for my FN and I have used another cages ramp (cut into sections) for my other chewers.

My Horde only chew thru edges (top and bottom where they can get their teeth on it so I covered the bottom edge and the top is above the cage.

The R-680's are Martins but they still manage to get their tiny jaws/teeth through and get a hole in the plastic so here I used the length to cover the edge again

and here I used a small bird ladder to keep the bottle away from the cage side.




I plan on getting these when I have the money again...

What my rats are doing is chewing holes through the cage bars.
They can't make huge holes (I house rats in martins cages myself) but it's enough to ruin the water bottles
& It was making me upset,hehe.

But I can look into those as well.
I like to have a few spare water bottles just in case.
I currently have 2 non-chewed bottles...that I'm not using yet.
I'll have to pick up those hangers that guard the bottle from being chewed.
