yummy fun rattie treat ideas
hey i was worried earlier about my rats not getting enough water or being to hot. well i came up with an awesome way to keep them cool, give them a snack, and give them some mental stimulation at the same time. all i did was takes ice trays and fill them up with water then add peas, peanuts, raisins, bits of bannana, berries, small slices of apple. i also found it works well if you simply mash up strawberries and bannanas and press it into a spot in the ice tray (these are yummy for people to) sugar free apple sauce works well too. then freaze and the ratties love them.
because of them melting and being kinda messy i set them on the bricks we have under the water bottle, they obsorb the melting water the rats havnt licked up and the ratties they lay on it to stay cool ^_ ^

This is a great idea and sounds like a lot of fun! Just make sure you don't give them too much as it could lower their body temperature dangerously if they eat a whole bunch.

That's so cool! I have heard of this for dogs- making broth cubes. Do you think that they would be okay for mice?

just give them less than you would for a rat
you dont want them eating to much and, like mtmaughan said, lower there body tempature.
