If you have a bonded pair of chins, how do you keep them housed to prevent constant breeding? How long do you wait to breed them in between litters?

I give my females a 8-12 week rest after weaning before I put her back with the male.

Mike and Alice are VERY bonded and he gets very depressed even for the 10 days they're seperated when she gives birth. This last time I split their Martin's cage and left him in the top and her in the bottom and he handled it much better. If you have a cage you can do this with, I suggest it - it works great.
