Babies!!!!

My beautiful Missi delived 2 beautful little babies. I am so happy, she is acting like she might deliver a number 3. We had left Bender with her because they go nuts with out each other, but had to remove him this morning because she was chacing him all over the cage. They are so CUTE!!!!

Woohoo Ya it's a good idea to remove the male too so they don't mate again so soon. I am expecting my first babies in the end of Feb. but I have heard that the female goes into heat right after birth, not sure if that means "right" after as in immediately or within hours, but I think that's called breedback and not healthy for the girls.

Are you going to post some pics?

Males can actually mate with females shortly before, during, and after delivery! So yes, removing the male is a good idea. I can't imagine being too comfortable with a pushy male while I'm giving birth! Congrats on the babies and we MUST get pics!!

I had left Bender with her because they have always gone nuts if they are apart. I thought she might be pregnant before and seperated them for about 4 hrs and they just cried for each other and layed out in the bottem of there cages until we put them back togeather. It was heartbreaking.

I thought I had the cage baby proof, well we left and come home and my grandmother tells me that she could only see one of the babies. So next was a 30 min house scamble to find him, funny thing is he was under the desk the cage is on, and we look there 5 times before we found him. But they are both back with mommy and doing great. I found out how he got out (the grey) because the beige is a little cuddler, and she climbed right out the same place when I had my hand next to it. So I would hold her. If we get any where near the cage she tries to climb out or jump on the side to get us to pick her up. (I say him and her because Bender is a grey and Missi a Beige I havent sexed them yet so i end up calling them because of there parents)

I would LOVE to post pics, but my stupid camera wont upload for some reason.

Oh and the grey is a mean little guy, when we got him back with mommmy, he walked up to her put his little paws on either side of her face, and bit her right on the nose!
