Cell Sorb Plus Bedding

As some of you may or may not know, I am on a quest to find another type of bedding for my two females that love to dig. I have read alot about different kinds of bedding and was very interested in Cell Sorb Bedding. Has anyone heard of it or tried it (or know someone that has tried it). Here is the website: http://www.cell-sorb-plus.com/

I use it!

It's WONDERFUL for absorbtion and odor control. I use it in the free range litter pans for the piggies that live on the floor in the piggie room. I've used others in the past and the amonia smells get's horrible after a day so I had to change it. This stuff lasts a week, and the moisture all soaks to the bottom and leaves the top dry for the pigs safety and comfort.

Erin,

I hope you don't mind if I ask more questions about it. Do you like the consistency of it? Does it have any type of odour? My chinchilla's urine doesn't have an odor but it is good to know it soaks up urine. I will be using the bedding for my two diggers and another cage has two males in it that also like to play with their bedding.

Thanks again and it is good to know someone is using the bedding and has positive feedback about it.

there is a smell to it, but it's not bad. If you've ever smelled carefresh, I hate that smell! It's not as bad as that stuff. As for texture, it's softer that yesterdays news, but still not soft like most of the wood beddings. It also shouldn't scatter as much as other bedding. Most all of my long haired pigs are free range, which is why I like a heavier bedding in the litter pans. It doesn't stick in their fur and get tracked all over the room.

You have made my decision. I used to use Carefresh a long time ago and couldn't stand it. I did see a picture of what the bedding looks like and it isn't as fine as the klin dried pine I am using which is great. This should be perfect for the two bottom cages I have. Thanks again Erin and as soon as I receive the bedding, I will report back.
