I Got His Eyes Open!!!


YAY!! I FINALLY got his wittle eyes open!!! He can see!! LOL I kept rubbing with a warm wet cloth and gently pulling til they popped open - but then he just shut them again!! LOL I have put him back in with mom now hoping that he'll open em up now so he can find her when she runs off!! Hehe, now I can finally get some good pics of him!!

Glad to hear that you finally got his little eyes open, Hopefully you will be able to get both of them in with mom later on today.

Triple Antibiotic Solution


I didn't see the original situation here, but if his eye/s had pus or matter, then a warm cloth on them is the right thing. It is better not to rub, rather just to hold it on the eye until the cloth cools, then rinse the cloth in warm water and re-apply until you can gently wipe all the goo away. Using a smooth cotton, rather than terry-style cloth is gentler as well.
I have a few rescue chins with eyes that act up, this is what we do for them on occasion- our vet also gave us "triple antibiotic solution," drops for their eyes, that I put in after the eye is cleaned out.
