MCBA Calf Manna Article - Paw Talk

Anyone else read this? I found it interesting and educational as I use calf manna whether my females are pregnant or not.

What did they have to say about calf manna?I have never heard of the magazine and I am using calf manna on my male chin.I hope that this is ok for him ?

The MCBA Magazine is put out by the MCBA (Mutation Chinchilla Breeders Association) for it's members.

How old is your male? If he's an adult he doesn't need it as long as you're feeding a quality feed like Mazuri.

Basically the article said that calf manna is great but you should not give it to chins late in pregnancy as it can cause the kits to get TOO big and possibly not fit through the birth canal. Instead you should give 1 teaspoon per day to lactating moms and then continue the kits on it until they are adults.
