Need baby advice

Hi everyone,
I am a novice chinchilla grandma. We had our first babies on April 25th, two little boys. The dad is a black velvet and the mom is an ebony. I think one is grey and the other is maybe going to be a black velvet. They are wonderfully healthy and of course adorable. They have begun to eat solids and I needed to get some advice. Is there anything extra I should be feeding them? The are doing very well eating the chin pellets the parents eat, using their hands already.

We would like to keep them, so I called a local exotic vet to ask about neutering. He has done many, so I am wondering what you all think about keeping them together after the boys are neutered?

Generally it is not recommended that you neuter chins. The anesthesia risk is too great. Even with neutering, the males may fight over the one female. Best to just keep the two boys together seperate from their parents when weaned.

The babies should be getting lots of nice green timothy hay in addition to pellets.
