Where to get a chew proof water bottle

Hi guys,
Anybody have a good place to buy a chew proof water bottle. I am going through one about every other day for my little Squeeks. She has tons of chew toys and such but loves to chew her water bottle up. Thanks

Linsey

Found the best one ever!

I purchased one through chinworld.com
LOVE IT!!!! my chew-monster can't get to it!

It hangs on the outside with a protective metal panel between the exterior bars and the bottle itself. The panel is sold separately.

It doesn't drip, even in the car b/c it is different than a ball-bearing bottle....diswasher safe, easy top loading lid. I love it! might have to train your chilla to it... pat on it, get water on finger, put near her mouth, repeat. Mine got the idea w/in 2 days.

Haven't seen it for lower price (only $13 total for both bottle and sheild), but you can always search on google, or the google for products, froogle.

FeaturesFlip-top opening for easy filling on cage.
Positive closing Edstrom Valve elimanates drips.
Edstrom Valve has very low actuation force...easily operated.
Edstrom Valve does NOT operate on vacuum principal...therefore saliva and feed are not sucked up into the water bottle.
Rectangular shaped bottle mounts neatly to side of cage with stainless steel mounting spring.
Lid can be removed for easy cleaning of bottle.
Edstrom Drinking Valve is constructed of brass and stainless steel with rugged silicone seals.
Water stays clean and fresh.
Dishwasher safe.

Lixit makes a great glass water bottle. I had to go that route because my chilla Licorice was going through a water bottle every darn month or more because of the chewing!

I got a chew guard at Petsmart for a plastic bottle and hang it outside the cage. It works pretty well.

I usually use the lixit "chew-proof" hanging bottles.. but lately my degus (fairly good chewers just like gerbils and chinnies) have been chewing through it... The other ones, with chew guards, have been destroyed before by my degus/gerbils and I have them for my hamsters...

we use the glass lixit bottles here too. I love them. They are glass so they don't build up mildew. They are dishwasher safe and just all around easy to care for.

KV Vet supply www.kvvet.com has the cheapest lixit water bottles I can find and are reasonable with shipping. They have the 8oz. and 16oz. The 16oz are easier to clean out. Once we found these glass bottles, there was no stopping us from switching over, these are awesome and soooo much better than plastic.

They do have a $50 minimum purchase on their website, but if you go through amazon.com then they don't do that.
