How to Litter Train

No I don't have a ferret but I love playing with the babies they have at the Pet Supplies Plus because they are almost always super sweeties. They have the no odor bedding and I love that stuff! But anyways... They also have a litter box for them to use. Some apparently DO use it, but mostly I see they always go against the side of the cage... So how does one actually train a ferret to go in the litter? It is like training a cat?? Because cats I know have always picked up on the litter box fast, swipe their paw to get them diggin' and then they just hafta go... And then they always go THERE. But it is like that with ferrets?

Just curious

Mal, ferrets ARE litter trainable yep, but the hard part is training them. They tend to be very stubborn & some just won't do it. It is (in my experience) easier to litter train the outside of the cage than in. Everytime you see em go, putt them in the box, high back corner ones are best. When they are in the cage you can attempt the same but that is easier said than done.
