Cute pictures and ferret!

Just as an FYI, he looks more like a black roan/silver rather than champagne mitt. Below is a picture of Shimmering Starburst, a champagne.

I noticed that he didn't look like any pictures I found of champagne mitts. The lady we got him from wasn't sure, since she is a rescuer and not a breeder. He's kinda a creamy yellow color (like champagne in rats) with all those black markings and spots. I've never even seen a ferret like him, and I can't find any pictures much like him, either. Does anyone know of a site with a lot of different pictures of ferret colors/types?

ELH, from the pictures it looks like just natural yellowing. This yellowing is more noticeable in lighter colored ferrets. As I said before, I would classify him as a black roan/silver. Whatever he is, he's still a cutie and that's all that matters!

thanks!

Thanks for the help and compliments, everyone. I looked at tons of pictures, can't find any that really look like him. He is a roan, not a mitt.. and I guess he's a silver.. just yellowed. The lady we got him from wasn't a breeder, so maybe she just guessed. Anyway, it's good to know what he is but it doesn't matter, we love him just the same. He's already started begging to be picked up when he wants, I took some more pictures, too. Thanks for everyone's help!
