I learned today that she doesn't quill up nearly as much when she is out of her cage versus in her cage. Are they just that territorial & protective of their home? She had a field day on my bed!! Persistant little tykes! When she had her mind set on one direction she wouldn't give up no matter how many times I said no!

Louie seems to quill up more in his cage than out....so it (territorial) could be! (Good point, I never really thought of it! )
Wow Kay! It looks like y'all are getting along great!! Don't ya love watching her explore? And your right, they are stubborn! LOL
So, she had some chicken last night? Did she like it? LOL Louie's gettin some tonight if I ever get off the computer!
BTW, Louie leaves us "presents" all the time when he's hanging out! LMBO but you're right they're not stinky!!!!!
Great pictures!!!

I know I know... don't bug her too much! I just wanna let her run around all day she is such a sweetie!!
and yes she LOVED her chicken! is that as fattening as meal worms? so far... she has not pottied anywhere in her cage except for her "bathroom" side. Actually though I was getting worried cause she had only pooed once that I noticed since I brough her home, until today on my bed. is that somethig I should be alarmed about?? or just an adjustment period with the changing of the foods & all? She is eating & drinking just fine though from what I hear in the middle of the night. (man are they loud when they crunch!

No, the chicken isn't as fattening as the mealworms but should still be given as a treat. (I know you know that part - I'm just repeating myself )
Is she going potty more in her cage now?

As long as you can see that she's eating & drinking she's ok. Babies don't go potty as much as adults. (lucky you for now! lol) And she may be hiding it well! Next time she's out just check around her cage a little.
If a hedgie is constipated (sorry to be gross so early in the morning!) the best thing to do is stick them in the sink with an inch or so of warm water. A guaranteed laxative!! LOL Whenever Louie gets a bath he "goes" like a maniac.
But I'm sure she's fine. Just keep an eye on her and make sure she is still eating & drinking. And next time she's out see if she goes on you or the bed! You can even just sit & hold her in a towel or shirt (whatever)....she may relax enough to go potty.
