How much attention do you give your hedgehog?

My friend wants to get a hedgehog soon, i know she loves animals and has the heart to take care of any animal she see's but she already has 28 cats, 2 horses, 4 goats, 2 bunnies, a duck, and a dog....thats alot of animals, they almost all require 1 on 1 attention from her...she already has alot of responsibilities, how much attention and time would a hedgehog add on? are there enough hours in a day?

Hedgehogs are pretty solitairy... during the day, they very much prefer to be just left alone. In the evenings though, they come alive, and can be very friendly and social. I guess it depends on the individual hedgehog, but they definitely seem to appreciate the attention, and would probably not do very well if they got ignored for long periods.
