yes, they are. But with the babies not being very heavy, it doesn't hurt to hold them. Also, they just ball up for a second when I pick them up, and that's it

I've never held a hedgehog. Do you ever get cut from their spines being too sharp?

no, well, I never have anyways. I do have to make sure I wash my hands well after holding them though, as it leaves my hands feeling itchy

I had the opposite problem sassy. I just wanted a hedgie for so long, read everything I could about them, looked at pictures of everyones hedgies. BUT, hubby said no way. Well, a friend of ours breeds hedgies, and she has about 14 total, and one day when we were there, a hedgie came up to the side of the cage to talk to my hubby. After that, he was agreeable to get one. He still isn't a hedgie person, BUT, I see him every morning talking to Orbit and Pikachu

They are adorable! I wanted a hedgie so bad, but after much talking and reading about them I don't think I'd be able to take care of their temperature needs BUT, that means I'll be getting my hedgie fix from you...more pictures!!!

ok, here are more pictures, as promised. I didn't get all 4 lined up, so I did individual shots instead. I believe I have them all sexed now, so, we have 3 girls and 1 boy
This is the first little girl
