We have babies
I wasn't sure whether to post about this or not, but we have baby hedgies. I am so excited, but worried, as her first litter did not survive. The babies are 9 days old now, and I'm not sure if there are 3 or 4 in there, and I am not even going to attempt a peek for another week. I did see 3 for sure today though, just through the opening of the pigloo. 2 look to be pinto's of some type, just not sure of the colour as all that was on in the room was a very soft light. Please everyone, keep your fingers (toes and eyes) LOL crossed that they continue to do well.
I have another week of pacing the floors waiting to see how they all do.

It is VERY nerve wracking, it feels like I'm continuously holding my breath BUT, today is day 12, so these babies have lasted 3 days longer than her last litter.

OMG, the excitement! OK, so I go feed Pikachu and give her some mealies, and so she comes tearing out of her pigloo, as if she hasn't eaten in decades . Well, as she swept past her pigloo, she bumped it back, and guess what, I can see 4 babies :blob1: :blob3: :blob5: *gaining recomposure*
Anyways, 2 for sure do look pinto, one has a totally white butt, and the rest of him/her is brown, the other is mostly brown with a white spot a bit bigger than a nickel, not sure if that will change though. And they are cute, and fat, pudgy little things. OMG, I can hardly wait to hold them, but I want to wait a few more days, or at least until I am completely sure that mama is ok with me going near them

Well, the babies started wandering out of the nest today, so I took the opportunity to snap a few pictures quickly.
Here is the first one to wander out
