Winter Crankies

Hello to all,

Im curious if anyone else has found that their Hedgies have gotten rather cranky over the winter season?

Between Christmas, new year, and some additions to our family (ferrets) our Hedgies, in particularly Dudley, have gotten rather, anti social. They of course still have time spent with my husband and I, and Dotti will come out over time, but Dudley just huffs and hisses, clicks and spikes. My other concern with Dudley is he seems to loose quite a few quills, so I am wondering if this might be a reason for his grumpiness as well.

Any ideas folks?

i used to have a hedgehog, and he was cranky in the winter, but then again, he was cranky all the time. probably because we named him after a video game.

Actually the only thing I have noticed is she is sleeping more than usual but is actually more sociable when awake. She is just a weirdo I think!
