Hopefully someone here can help me out.
I have a 3 year old
prairie dog who needs a new cage. We got him as a baby but really knew nothing about what they needed, neither did any of the
pet stores around here. The cage he has is not appropriate for him (bars too big and plastic levels) so he has now almost completely destroyed it.
I've been looking around for cages and have seen Martin's Cages which look nice, is there anybody else who makes prairie dog cages? What does everyone else have?
It's hard to see in the pictures of these cages. What kind of bottoms do they have? Are they wired bottoms? The reason I ask is, in our current cage we have a lizard heater that you would normally stick to the underside of a glass aquarium stuck on the bottom of the cage. It's warped the plastic a bit but my prairie dog loves it.
Are there stores who sell prairie dog cages or do I have to order online from the manufacturer? I'm in Canada and it would probably be a lot cheaper for me if I could drive over the boarder to buy a cage than to have it shipped.
Any advice anybody can give me would be great, thanks.
