I got Karmen a year ago May 11th. She was a college graduation gift to myself.

I bottle fed her for 2 weeks...she only needed to be bottle fed for a week after I got her, but I enjoyed it so much that I did it an extra week (more bonding time). Since I enjoyed her so much and I was afraid she'd get lonely when I went to work, I got Kasey 3 weeks later. Kasey didn't bond to me right away, it took a little longer and I think that was because 1)she didn't get to choose me (I had someone else pick her up for me and bring her to Michigan where with Karmen I drove 16 hours and let HER pick me. 2)Kasey wasn't as dependant on me for attention because she had Karmen to rely on for companionship. Kasey finally got over her shyness and now literally jumps into my arms when the cage door is opened!
I was going to get them spayed but my vet has zero experience with PD's so I didn't want to chance it. I can't imagine how guilty I would have felt if one of them died while being spayed. So far Karmen is the only one that experienced mood swings and that only lasted for a month.
