Over the past couple of years I have read & researched about prairie dogs & learnt heaps from friends via another pet board in that time. I've been wanting, no, yearning for a prairie dog of my own & if I'm honest, I never thought it would happen, never. Sometimes, I would even feel slightly jealous of you people in the US & my heart would ache at the wonderful photographs displayed of your pet prairie dogs & your talk of how endearing & wonderful it is to have such an animal in your home & of course in your hearts.

I've had Rosie for 2 days now & my heart is fit to burst. She's a gift from god, an angel here to live on earth, with me, as my baby. I've been blessed & I know she will love me as much as I love her and that thought is incredible. A prairie dog, in my home, in my heart & she's all mine -- a miracle!

I am so happy for you . And I understand the feeling . I think all of us do . So much love some such little creatures . It seems impossible that they could do that . But wow they do

I hope I'm a good mummy to her. I will do everything I should, feed her properly and love her..she's fast asleep right now, seems to bed down around 8 ish..swhe was letting me scratch her tummy. When I moved my hand away she wanted more..awww..I should have gotten two or five.
