Was someone asking about sand? - Paw Talk

I got a Lowe's mailer today and in it they were advertising 50lb bags of 'play sand' for just under $5! It says it's sterilized and sifted, for use in kids sand boxes. I don't know how widespread Lowes is, but I would imagine they'd have the same type of thing at Home Depot or other big hardware stores. Just saw that and remembered someone asking...sounds like a great deal to me...$5 for 50 lbs, no digging, cleaning...

I don't have a Lowe's in my area and the Home Depot near me doesn't have play sand.

Sometimes it really stinks living in a rural area. Hopefully the Home Depot near me (40+ miles away) will have some soon now that summer is right around the corner.

We got ours in Kmart for like $2.95 I think, but I saw it in County Market (grocery store) for $1.50 for 50Ibs- very cheap!!!!

Got mine too...massive bag for £2.45 bloody heavy too..I've muscles on top of muscles today from carrying the bloomin' thing! LOL __ I've been baking sand today, lovely!!

It depends on how much you bake at one time. I filled a roasting tin with sand and that had to be baked for about 1 hour at gas mark 5/6 (gas oven I have.

So, the less you put in a container the quicker it will bake. It comes out all nice once done though...hot!
