According to the link from
Skunk Haven to
Alberta's Wildlife Regulations, it specifically says the only time one is permitted to possess a skunk in the province is to trap and relocate it. I would contact my local Fish & Game office to verify their legality before you go any further. Just because someone else nearby might have one, or a
pet store may sell one, that still doesn't mean they're actually legal to own as pets. The last thing you'd want is to finally find a breeder, get a pet skunk, and then have it confiscated and destroyed because it was illegal. Sadly, skunks are considered a pest animal and a rabies vector, so are illegal in many places.
