FutureFoxOwner is on a distinguished road

I am about to raise a Fox, give me advice

Hi,
I am planning on buying either a fennec fox or a red fox and would like to know any advice owners may have. Anything like diets, leash training, personality problems, and personal experiences. I am ready for the work to be put into it, but I would like to know everything I can as to prepare myself for this kind of commitment. I have researched so much on this, but not many sites talk about personal experiences. If I could get a one on one discussion with someone, it would be extremely beneficial. I would like to hear from anyone who has had or known someone who has had either a fennec fox or a red fox as a pet and any stories from their experiences whether personal or otherwise. Also, any breeder recommendations would help. Any input would be appreciated.

Sincerely,
Ben Hawkins

Please go to www.spoiledchins.net and contact Kindra. She has a fennec fox and can give you a ton of info about them and what they eat, what to expect and all kinds of other things. Her website is all about Chinchillas, but I'm sure she can help you out regarding the fox. She also sells Exotic Canine Diet from Mazuri on her website. A fennec is not for everyone, make sure to check your state and local laws before hand and do as much research as possible. Talking to Kindra, you will get the honest ups and downs of fennec ownership. Also you will need to have a knowledgeable exotics vet on hand that knows fennecs inside and out. Good luck and welcome to Paw Talk!
Note: Kindra also does exotics rescue and will indeed give you the honest advice and opinions regarding her experiences.
