I worked as a receptionist at an ER vet clinic, but we also had an Avian/Exotic board certified vet on duty and on call during emergency hours. That is how I got to hang out with things like wallabies, red tailed hawks, large pythons, large birds, and even a fennec fox at one point. I do miss the perks of that job, that's for sure. I don't quite miss the job itself though, and marrying my husband was certainly worth leaving that work field after 5 years.
