I knew a friend of a friend that caught a wild adult possum. She was trying to feed it and it was hissing and snapping so violently. It took every thing I had to convince her to let it go. Finally "She might have babies to feed" guilted her enough to set it free.
HELLO! What was she thinking?!
Guess she wasn't.
It's one thing to save an animal's life.
It's another thing to disrupt it.
P.S. I love your little babies!

You are right about disrupting the lives of these animals and people can literally kill them with kindness. I have two at the center right now that will probably never be released. A lady found them 6 weeks ago in her backyard and instead of getting some guidance or what she should have done is turned them in to us. She fed them rice pablum and 2% milk for six weeks their poor front legs are so bent that they look like they are walking on their ankles. Worse case of rickets I have ever seen. Sad thing is she didn't realize she was doing them any harm. LOL yeah the snapping and hissing can be pretty convincing, even my babies here will try to scare you away by doing that.

HA ha!
I guess kids are!
Just got that title today.
Pretty funny if you ask me.
I guess Nancy thought my "Some people's kids" comment was about the baby possums rather than the people who literally kill animals with kindness.
LOL! But I like it!
I'm in Surrey sad to say! (Surrey has a bad rap)
I really love my house and all the neighbourhood specialty shops.
Butcher, Baker, Heath food place, Market.
The area is a good area but teens will be teens.
Mischievous as heck!

Yes!
Guilford area!
You know your stuff!
I would really like a piece of land as well.
Was looking into it but would have to move too far out to get anything worth while with what we can afford.
Stave Lake area.
Really beautiful!!!!
But too far out for my life style.
