Baby Bunnies

My netherland dwarf had 4 babies on fathers day. I didn't know she was pregnant...because when I bought the bunnies, the person at the pet shop told me both rabbits were doe. So I bought them both home. The babies are now 4 to 5 days old. But I found that 1 of the bunnie is bigger and much chubbier than the other 3...I also found something dried and yellow on it's nose...is it sick? All the bunnies look well fed and warm. But i'm really concern that they might get sick...

I think just to be on the safe side, call your vet and ask them about the yellow stuff. I don't think you should transport the babies, so just call your vet and ask for information.

Yup took them all to the vet already...haha silly me. It was only tiny bits of dried milk from when they drink from their mother. They're all healthy~! I'm relieved. They're 11 days old now. The chubbiest baby opened its' eyes on the 10th day. All the other ones opened at 11th day. They're all so chubby and cute.

Opps...I the first bunny opened its eyes on day 9th...not 10th. They other 3 baby opened their eyes on day 10th. The bunny that opened its eyes first was also the chubbiest and almost twice the size of his/her siblings. he/she is 6oz something now and the others are all 3oz something.

06.29.04 They're 9 days old in this photo. The baby outside of the scale just opened his/her eyes today~!s/he is the chubbiest and biggest...6oz...other babies are only 3oz.

There is nothing wrong with the baby rabbits, it is just dried milk from when they were eating also it could just be dried skin. I am a rabbit breeder and i have had several baby rabbits like that.

Those pictures are soooo cute! Can I have the babies? J/k! They are so cute, you're lucky to have them! Your mommy rabbits is a sweetie too!

awwww great pics! i don't know whats wrong but one of my rabbits is a netherland dwarf and she had babies and she kept killing them so u have a really nice mother rabbit. I hate how pet store pplz don't no the gender of rabbits I find it easier to check myself (lol)!
