Big problem, I'm losing a ton of food here.

This rabbit is pushin' it. I didn't check to see if he actually ate the food I bought him, but all I know is everytime I fill the bowl up, he tips it over. He's done this maybe 5 times so far, then I tried putting the food on his litter pan...HE TIPPED THAT OVER. He will eat anything else I give him, a chip, or rice cake, or whatnot. What is his problem?

He doesn't have a problem, he just wants to play. Rabbits like to chuck things around.

Get him some toys he can chuck around and get a food bowl that will attach to the cage. If yours is plastic or metal you can drill some holes in it and attach it to the cage with cable ties.

Oh and don't put the food in his litter pan. Soiled food isn't good for bunnys but some of them are silly enough to eat it.

I guess that shouldn't be a problem, thanks. I was kinda worried he didn't want to eat but I wasn't sure. Oh well time to make a trip to the pet store.

Even if he continues knocking it over it shouldn't be too much of a problem unless he lets it sit. Sake and Puchiko knock over their food also.

I think that you should make sure that your rabbit is eating the food. My rabbits only eat certain kinds of pellets. If I give them a kind of food they don't like, they dump it. Sometimes they also like to move the stuff in their cage around just because they want it arranged a certain way. I was having an endless fight with my bunnies on where the litterbox was placed. Finally I just let them move it to where they wanted (even though it made no sense to me). If I were you I'd first make sure that the food is getting eaten, then get a heavier bowl if necessary.

I didn't really mean to make a big deal of it. It's just in very little time after I fill his bowl with food it's knocked over. It just got a little frustrating. Plus I don't see him eat the food.

EDIT: Ok I'll make sure he eats it. If he doesn't, I guess I'll have to buy different food.

wow, petsmart sucks! they didn't have food, litter pan, or much of anything. WALMART HAD MORE THEN THEM!! Well I pretty much got everything I wanted, but wow...Last time I think I ever shop there again. I might go to them again, but that kinda got me mad, they didn't even have food for rabbits. Oh well...I guess that's stores for you

lol I bought a good non-tip plastic food dish from wal-mart for $2, they haven't tipped it yet.
p.s. I was really disappointed in petsmarts rabbit supply selection too. I found a nice locally owned pet store that sells tons of rabbit products I go to instead.

I could probably try the pet store in the mall, it is a bit small though, I bet they have better then petsmart which is 20times bigger, and the size of a grocery store, and still has nothing for rabbits. Or maybe I should just shop at walmart for rabbit stuff. Oh well, I ended up with a food dish that attaches to the cage, so lets see him tip that over

LOL Nall. When you see him sitting there staring at it with one ear up and one down, you'll know he is working out a plan!

You can always let him keep his old bowl to chuck around.
