Bonding Issues

I have to female (not spayed) bunnies Ginger is roughly 4 months and Fiona is roughly 6. I borought home a new bun (Jealousy) to day (female non spayed) roughly 3 months in age.

I already made it hard for myself I found out (goes to show you I need to research better) by having them in my room (the main home of the two I already own) and tryin to let them meet n greet.

Fiona tried chasing and attacking her almost instantly and ginger chased her but gave up after realizing I was protecting the Jealousy.

I guess my question is I have two sperate cages (one for Fiona and Ginger who are best of pals since tehy met) and one for Jealousy. I really have no other place to keep Jealousy but in the same room. Is this ok as long as she is in the cage or will it make bonding time that much harder?

If anyone has any tips let me know. I read the FAQ @ rabbit.org as well.

you NEED to wait until they are spayed. but for now just put there cages next to each other. bonding them works out better if you leave there cages just a few inches apart for a few weeks, maybe a month.
if i was you i would let them play together until they are both spayed and fully recoverd. and then start all over.

they also needed to meet on complete nuetral grounds. a room where no rabbit has ever been before.

yes i agree - you need to find a neutral territory. you are fine with them all in your bedroom, especially if this is the room where Jealousy will be living too. i have both of my girls in my bedroom as well, even though they do not get along. i also agree that you should get them spayed and then try to bond them. females can be real possessive and territorial, but with time if you are patient i'm sure things will work out.

here's your steps - house them close together, spay all your lovely ladies, give them 2 weeks to re-coop, meet and greet.

all your girls are prime age to be spayed so you shouldn't have any problems there, and a good vet may give you a good deal if you fix them all at once.

good luck!!

it can be pricy. id save up money if you havent already. just for me getting one rabbit spayed it was 180 bucks.
and you seriously need to get it done because females are sooo territorial that if left unspayed i have heard that they sometimes will fight to the death.

other than the hormonal factors, they can easily develop ovarian cancer as well if not spayed
