Bunny Bonding Tips?

Hi everyone.

I'm looking for some Hints & tips for bonding bunnies.
This will be my first bunny bonding experiance, though I have done it many times with gerbils (though not really the same lol).

I have Aniseed (almost 1 year old recently spayed) and Bo (3.5yrs old recently neutered) who I want to become bunny pals. Both have not lived with another bunny before and were rescues.

I'm building them a new area/pen to live in together, and it will be beside my other 2 bunnies (neutered males) though the way I am building it they will not be able to see one another (the two pairs).

I probably won't start for at least another week, but I want to make sure I have all the information possible before I get started.

Thanks in Advance!

Have you checked out the article on bunny bonding at rabbit.org? It's really helpful .

Remember to be patient and don't give up even if things seem hopeless. When introducing rabbits it's often hate at first sight .

just read everything you can. you can google it and it gives you some pretty good stuff. everyone seems to have there own way of doing it because everyone and every bunny is diffrent. in the mean time you can house them next to each other were they can see eachother well, and maybe switches cages out. even rub on one of them with a sock, and put the socks in the others cage. i would do that for at least a week.

Very kewl Idea, i think I will start with a toy/sock now and see how it goes.

I've also posted elsware and gotten some good information. This is a site i'm eager to read over - http://www.mybunnies.com/bonding.htm

The more info I have the better

2yr old female, 8 month old male. both sexually altred. i hear usually this combanation works very well, but i have just been having bad luck i guess. Ryo was very aggressive to Alex, but now Ryo trys to groom him. but Alex doesnt let it happen for too long, he gets upset at her giving him kisses all the time
