Funny Bunny story
I recently adopted a cat from my local humane society. I knew that Bunny wouldn't have a problem with the new cat because when I lived with my parents he would always play with their cat. Polka was the one I was unsure about. The humane society I adopted him from didn't have any back-history on him. When Polka and Rufus met it was nice and sweet, they sniffed at each other and each went on their merry way. I was quite pleased. Then I introduced Bunny and Rufus. First thing Rufus did was hiss at him. I was about to pick Bunny back up in case Rufus got angry but Bunny just grunted and Rufus and lunged at him. Rufus got so scared he ran up the back of a chair. Now whenever I let Bunny out to run around Rufus will hid under the bed or onto the countertops where Bunny can't reach him.

I tried to have a cat when we just had Charlie - Charlie won every encounter. The cat soon had to go anyway because Jason's allergies got so bad (he was a teenage kitten and went back to the lady we got him from).
Bunnies can surprising hold their own against our domestic "predatory" animals. I've heard of big dogs being afraid of little bunnies.
Bunnies have a psychotic streak in them - would anyone disagree?

My bun bun chases my cat Apples all the time, he is scared of her sometimes too!! I rarely see him in the room for long. Akina don't mind Kitana or Kilala maybe cause they are females lol!!

Congrats on the new kitty!
Our rabbit Maizee really isn't phased by the dogs or cats at all when she is out- if ever one of them get curious about her, she is fine unless she ends up trapped in a corner, then she puffs up and makes a couple of deliberate hops in their direction- sort of a warning half-charge, I take it- and they back off. One time she kicked Hogan when he was trying to lick her, and that was enough for him to know to leave her alone. For the most part, they accept her as one of them- and she's bigger than two of my cats and almost as big as our smallest rat terrier, so not really surprising. The only time she gets upset is if one of the cats gets in her pen- and then she'll bang stuff around until we hear she is mad and make the cat get out, then she is fine. LOL

We acquired a cat not even 2 months ago. It was wondering around outside one nite when we were cooking out. We tried to get rid of it, but it came back. I had my son go around the next day and ask some peeps if they were missing a cat and nobody was so we kept her and I named her KeeKee. She chases Angel when she's out and bopps her on the head (poor Ang), Angel will growl at the cat. After Angel's had enough, she hops in her cage. Hopefully the cat will grow out of it soon and quit chasing her. Snuffles at his home prior to mine, lived w/ a cat and he chased the cat! I have yet to see that, maybe that will teach her!
