How much hay you guys use?
Just out of curiosity, how much hay you guys go through per week or month for your buns? And what kind of hay?

I always used timothy hay for Caesar and Charlie. We bought the Kaytee timothy hay and we went through two bags a month since they got unlimited hay. No since it's only Charlie, we go through one bag a month.

Well, that's hard to say since I buy a bale a month and between the chins and the rabbits, we go through a LOT of Timmothy hay!

We can't get timothy hay here....only the bad stuff so they get a small amount as a treat about every 10 days or so. one bag lasts me forever, obviously. Because of that, they get fed mainly on a pellet mixture and we go through a 3kg bag every 3-4 weeks probably. Not sure, I don't really take notice.

Have you heard of Oxbow? They ship worldwide. Check out their website and get info on shipping fees: http://www.oxbowhay.com/Shop/showDivision.sp?cat=41
I give my bunny, oat hay, Tim hay, Bermuda, Brome, Orchard and Mixed hay. If you can find any of those there, it's as good...Mixed hay is like cat nip for bunnies...they love it!!!

the only problem with oxbow is that by the time I convert the money into Aussie dollars and pay for shipping I'd be looking at around $40.00 for a 9lb bag. That would probably last 4-6weeks. I don't mind doing it but it's just too much money There is no way I could get my boyfriend to agree to that. Especially not when they are both extremely healthy.
Thanks for your help though!!!!!

I remember giving Caesar mixed hay, he threw all that wasn't timothy on the floor.
But, actually Carmen, I am chewing gum!
