Yes, I do think she has trouble eating those Cecotropes or night feces. I don't think her head tilt allows her to get into the proper position.
If I find them on the ground I often will pick them up with a tissue and hold them so she can est them. Really gross but I am not sure what else to do. I know they need them.
B/c of her condition I have to give her tush baths sometimes. I use warm water and bunny shampoo and make sure she is dry after. I hate doing it but as you know already that stuff really sticks and it's hard to cut the hair off in such a delicate area. When it is in warm water it comes off much easier. Oh and I bring her outside to dry her. It's so hot here that I think it helps get her dry more quickly.
I know bunnies are not supposed to get baths and that is why I only do her tushy. I also had asked the
vet tech about it and she agreed that baths are not good for them but sometimes they are necessary.
What we do for our "kids".
Dude may have always have a head tilt. I hope that the vet gives her blessing soon for Dude to possibly get a friend. It sounds like he could use a little company. Do you have any friends with bunnies that you could try out with? Just to see if he seems to perk up? Can you even do that with bunnies?
I really am glad that Tabby has the kitties to keep her company. And she just lights up when she sees me. Of course that makes me melt. I know you must just want him to be happy. Poor little Dude! Please give him a kiss from Tabby and me.
