do lionheads typically only have long hair around their head? my lionhead is very fury all over.. except for a small stripe down her back. the vet thinks she is probably mixed with another breed. just curious.

Not all lionheads have the same fur - Barnaby, my lionhead, has long hair on his head as well as on both the sides of his body.
There are double, single, and no maned lionheads and all three tyes can be in the same litter.
No mane is how it sounds - the rabbit won't have long hair. These rabbits don't carry the gene for a mane.
Double mane is thick and goes around the shoulders, as well as along the sides and backend of the body. Some double maned lionheads shed the long hair around their body, so they have just the long hair on their head and shoulders, not not all of them shed it off. I believe that my Barnaby has a double mane, as it goes all the way around his body on his sides, and he hasn't, as of yet, sheded this hair.
Single maned lionheads have hair around the head and ears, and little or none on the rest of their body.
So if your rabbit is extra furry, if she is a purebreed lionhead, she probably just has a thick double mane.

Rory only has hair on his head as i gave him a hair cut, you can see in some pic's that he has still got some longer bits around his tail, legs area.
