Mummy Bif and daddy bertie...

This is soo cute..we got 2 wickle black n white kittens 21st october and they were 7 and a half weeks old but weeny..
Bif amazed us all..she took the kits under her wing almost and litter trained the little boy!
Bertiesused to cats and kittens in his previous home so hes nochalant..
But the little girl followed him everywhere like a bad smell!
Then came the flood and after a week of being seperated we let the kitts and bunnies togehter in our trashed lounge..my room couldnt contain bertie!
There were a few problems with bif being stalked and scared..but then we realised..they were stalking and running from her like they do each other..theyve never hurt her..have taken a gently clawless swipe at her bum once as she walked by!

The little boy kitten adores her and chirrups to her..she comes running to see what he wants too! hes been scared by bif very forcefully presenting herself to him and he ran away but now hes kissing her on her "fairy kiss" on her head. And she likes to sneak up on them and bif their butts and run away waiting for a response!
The little boy hasbegun rubbing around bertie and purring like mad..he adores bertie and has even gone to sleep up against him.
The kittens watch the bunnies every move and copy them..they chew on hay and straw and eventually spit it out..they try and ea t the rabbit pellets..they drink from the rabbits bowl..sometimes at the same time as the rabbits!
The funniest thing is the daily tussle over the greens! Bif and Bertie have now got the kitts copying them and sharing their greens..i even had toretirieve a broccoli floret off the little girl!

Bif has suddenly become very brave 80% of the time..has been approaching us for a stroke or head rub..is sleeping near us and is sleeping on her back even when the kittens are playing..the floors red hot lava!!
yes ther are times they get her goat but a quick grunt and raised front paws on a kittens head solves that!

Berties asking for hugs on the settee and is so patient with the kittens till they land on him falling off the windowsill or waking him up when they roll into him scarapping..he grunts and they run!

The little boys always followed Bif around with his little tail in the air mewing and chirruping to her..and the little girl used to do thid to bertie..now they just purr!!

The cutest scenario was yesterday after a mutual session of water drinking and greens munching..they looked like a weird family..mumy bif, daddy bertie and the two kids!!

Bertie does sleep a heck of a lot..hes a french lop and ive been told thats normal! Bif does get a bit miffed with that sometimes so im hoping the kittens are company for her and might be whats making her brave again..she was a little bit more advanced than this when her beloved oscar fell ill and died..

She now loves bertie and he loves her and she fels safe with him around..the kittens are their shadows..

ive had adult cats and baby bunnies before and i did find the bunnies copy the cats and become pseudo kitties!

i wonder if this is the case is the same reversed and how long it will last..anyone had something like this/
btw it was awful whilst bif was scared at the beginning but now its so different..maybe theyve given her confidence or maybe shes scared we dont love her anymore? and has to work to get our affection back..whichis crazycos we have always loved her from the monent we saw her picture on the shelters website!

This is well cute , the two kittens and the buns , my friend barbara got herself three new female kittens and during the late summer we had the bunnies Schneeball and Toky-Ohki out ion the garden.

the cats were always curious but Rore Marie was the one that copied the rabbits and spent a lot of time chewing grass , have always wondered how different animals of the same age would get on.

I.E a Cat , Dog and Rabbit as they each grew up together , but it will be interesting to see how the boy kittens attach themselves to the buns , like you said about baby buns with cats.

are you doing this in the name of science , after all abbits dont realy exist , but I think some of us have come pretty close with our pets in the behavioral department.

Oh that is so sweet. My bunnies are fond of the cats but I think the cats are sometimes annoyed with the buns. I have to remind the kitties to keep their paws to themselves. They kitties don't use claws though and the buns never seem too upset about the smacks.
It's so nice when they get along. Now we just have to get Oliver and Ophelia to play nice.

My husband had a Shar Pei (a dog) that was raised around cats. He used to try to wash his face with his paw like a cat (my husband has pictures!) and he'd play with catnip mice. He's since passed on, but he was a strange dog to say the least.
