I grew nastriums for the bunnies this year. They were not thrilled with the flowers as I had hoped. I never thought about giving them the leaves until Teddy started munching them while outside yesterday. He seemed to like them so I picked some tonight and added them to the salad. Ophelia tried one right away and really seemed to like it as well. I have tons of leaves because the plants did great!
They were easy to grow - I started them as seeds in vegetable soil and then placed them in pots in more vegetable soil and they just went crazy!

Is it true bunnies can have lavender? I have a whole lavender bush and it would be great if i could give it to the buns to eat aswell as the rest of their salad!! xx

Oh kewl - I wish I could have a little garden to grow snacks for my bunnies! Hopefully someday

I dont get it! Can i feed it to my buns or not then? It says you shouldnt give it to pregnant buns as it can make them lose the pups but you can to speed up delivery but only a lil bit. It says it relaxes buns well that is what my Bbop needs lol so do you think it will be ok for them or not? Its just normal lavender flowers! I have loads of it lol.

I think it's fine, it's not posinous or anything. I just wouldn't give them too much at a time.

Bbop is not expecting is she? If she is not it should be fine. I have a small lavendar plant but it seemed to die off early this year. I am not sure why.
I also have loads of mint. It grows like a weed. I had oregano but it was over run by the mint. I also have chives. The bunnies don't seem to like the oregano or chives.
I also have grape tomatoes. They loves those! And I have some peppers. Teddy doesn't care for them but the other bunnies like them.

LOL its ok hun. My son named him Bbop i have no idea why lol he is only 4 so maybe it was coz of Baby Bop from Barney BUT he is definately a HE lol x
