New bunny owner and new to Paw Talk!

I just got a new bunny! He is a male Mini Rex named Thumper and he is soooo cute! He's about 18 weeks old (considering that I got him on July 16 when he was 8 weeks old). I'll have pics at the bottom!

I was doing research on what to feed him and there are way to many websites! I feed him a variety of carrots, broccoli, and other vegy's everyday with a tiny bit of fruit every now and then. I also feed him 2.5 ounces of pellets everyday.

Is that good or should I feed him anything else?
Another thing, he is currently on my upstairs backporch (enclosed) in a
medium cage, but I'm going to move him into my room so that he's an indoor bunny (i'm in the process of bunny-proofing my room): any tips on how to train him and get him used to his new surroundings?

Congratulations!
I think you can give baby bunnies as many pellets as they need but I am sure someone else will let you know for sure.
Are you giving him unlimited hay? All bunnies should have unlimited hay to be sure their tummies keep working. At that age he can have alfalfa hay. His pellets can also be an alfalfa base.
To litter box train him - use a bunny safe litter - and place his hay in the box. They like to munch and poo at the same time - gross but true. And the best thing to get him consistent with his box is to neuter him.

Welcome, Thumpersmom, hope you enjoy it here! I read it here to put the hay in the litter box and I thought that was crazy, but it works! I put the soft litter in one half and the other half I put their hay and pellets. They have not urinated once anywhere but in the litter box since I started doing that. Good luck!

You should give him unlimited pellets until a certain age. You can find a lot on the website I gave you. Just go to "diet"
