They do love it. Often it takes an hour of open cage door before they bother to come out. Right now the cage door is open and they are laying on the top shelf again. It was easy to make. Not too expensive (comapred to what you can buy at the store). And It fits the space well in the room. It's also easy to keep clean.

oh Kathy - they look so content! Well done! Also pleased to hear that the spaying and neutering has been a success - I wish we could get our fluffies into the litter tray habit more consistently!

Aren't these cages great? You can do anything with them. I love seeing how people have set up habitats and play areas for their buns! Lucky has been litter trained since his neuter...It is so nice not to have to deal with shavings any longer.

that is a very cool cage, what kind of flooring do you use? do you use any type of bedding for the bottom floor?

WOW it is a GOOD cage!! Makes me want to build the same!! Well 2, one for the bunny and add onto the one for my rats and make it better...how many sets did you buy to make to one cage?

you guys are lucky to be able to get those sets so easily and cheaply..over here a similar thing but only 15sides is £19.99 thats almost $40!!
good set up kathy..but i couldnt see it taking berties weight!!

The bottom is linoleum laid on plywood. The shelves have now been reinforced with wood. The cats love to lay on the shelves as well. It would probably hold his weight but not the push off of the hopping.
I do try to spoil them.
