Questions and stuff...

I have a few questions, just cuz I wanted to know what other people are doing with their buns...

How often do you take your rabbits in for checkups?
Do they have/need vaccinations?
Inside or outside housing?
Fixed or, umm, "intact"?
What kind or diet do they have?

Im noy trying to stalk people and say if theyre taking good/bad care of their buns or start a debate, I woulds just like to know because Im just curious or would like some care suggestions.

Heres what I do:
Smudge hasnt had checkups cuz he hasnt been sick. I want to take his in soon tho.
Smudge hasnt had vaccinations, and Im trying to find out if they need them.
Smudge lives both in and out, depending on weather.
Smudge still has his manly hood, Lol.
Smudg eats unlimeted timithy hay, at least a cup of fresh fruits and veggies, and a teeny handful of pellets in a day.

Ijust brought Oliver and Ophelia in for their one year check up. Teddy and Penelope were there when they were fixed.
I didn't think they gave buns vaccinations in the US - the vets never gave mine any.
Inside
They are all fixed - otherwise we would be overrun!
Unlimited hay- oxbow pellets - and a salad of fruits and veggies every night
I am a bad mom - I only change their water once a day. I use bowls.

My bunny has been neutered, he lives indoors exclusively, has not had any vacinations and does not go to vet unless he is ill, which he never has been, except of course his visit to be neutered. He has unlimited hay and pellets and always has fresh water, and gets seasonal greens

I don't really bring in my rabbits for check-ups. I'm pretty in tune to my rabbits and if something's wrong I know pretty fast and can rush them in. There are no vaccinations needed for rabbits in the US. Mine are housed inside where it's safest . I usually have my rabbits fixed but I've found it very difficult to find a vet around here who will spay females. Fiona isn't spayed yet because of that...it's also very, very expensive here . I'm looking into some other options . But my male is neutered so no worries there.

My rabbits eat Oxbow timothy pellets and also get fresh veggies almost every day. I mostly feed leafy greens, herbs, and grasses. They always have access to fresh timothy hay and sometimes oat hay or orchard grass .

I have two bonded pairs of rabbits that live outside. They do not get vaccinations, but I keep them on Revolution, a flee and parasite prevention. My rabbits get yearly check-ups. I cut their toe nails myself.

My rabbits have an upper level in thier hutch that I keep packed with hay to eat, dig in, and keep dry and warm in. I get the hay from a farm, but sometimes I suppliment with timothy hay. They get a limited amount of pellets and fresh vegies. They get chew sticks every day which I cut from lilac and crab apple. They have and area where they graze in the grass for a couple hours every day. In the winter when there is no grass, I cut down tree limbs and put that in their grazing area and they will strip the bark and eat it.

All four of my rabbits have been altered.

How often do you take your rabbits in for checkups? I take my guys in for yearly checkups.

Do they have/need vaccinations? Rabbits in the US don't need vaccinations

Inside or outside housing? Inside only, the only time they go outside is on their harness with me so I can keep an eye on them.

Fixed or, umm, "intact"? Fixed

What kind or diet do they have? They get unlimited timathy hay, and in the evenings they get their salad and sometimes a small amount of Oxbow timathy pellets.

I have three. Indoors. They are all fixed. I would hate to handle two females and a male not fixed. They have only been to the vet when they were altered however I would take them in a heartbeat if I thought there was something wrong. You need to find a vet who knows rabbits though. Not all do. They get fed twice a day with greens and a little fruit. They also get a little pellets during in the morning. They also get all the orchard, timothy and oat hay (I mix it up) they can eat. For a night night treat they get a few raisins. They are healthy and not overweight and seem to be very happy little bunnies. I think everyone feeds differently just watch the pellets and fruit (can put the weight on) and give it plenty of hay, water and some greens.

1. I don't take my bunnies in for checkups, but I know when they are ill, if they are I will take them.
They are not vaccinated, I don't see the point of it, there is a very slim chance of them catching the disease and they are expensive.
Outside, and are tucked up with the hutches facing each other to keep away predators and keep in the warm.
My bunnies are intact.
The have hay all of the time and fresh water with vitamins in it, they get a few veggies in the morning and then their pellet food in the evening.
