Size Of French Lop Rabbits - Paw Talk

Yesterday I got my first French Lop bunny. I didnt get a clear answer when I asked about how big he'd get but I heard that it would be about 10 lbs, full grown. But I got on the net doing research and one site said they could be up to 22 lbs! I was wondering if anyone could tell me the true weight of an adult french lop. Thanks!

Big! I'd definitely say closer to 20 lbs! I had one when I was little and it got to be very big!

Hey hammie! I have two french lops and they get big. Mine are 6 months old and they are already 9 lbs. They get around 16-18 on average and they are just lovely. I imagine 20-22 isn't unheard of. They have one of the friendliest dispositions in the bunny world. Your'e going to love them!

the average weight for a french lop to reach is upto 11lbs for a female and 14lbs for a male. lovely critters with personalities bigger than their ears (which is saying something)

Well then, the bunny should be full grown by now, and they should be able to tell us how big he/she is!

exactly, and well said fromper, her rabbits will be all grown up by now so she'll have her answer. but there have been three messages left since I posted the response so obviously it has been read. My reason for posting was because people who have french lops and need to know the answer may see the link and view it, it doesn't matter if the first lady doesn't need to know anymore, other people may.
