Snow Time!

So I read about people letting their bunnies play in the snow, but before I toss my bunnies out into a snow drift I asked a few more questions on how people do this. If it's not to windy/cold people will bring their bunnies to the snow, but since it's both windy and super cold here I brought the snow to the bunnies!

I brought a cage bottom filled with snow into the bunny play room. Bo and Ani had first dibs and though they had some fun it was Baby who had a BLAST!

Aww! What a great idea! It hasn't snowed here yet because of Global Warming but when it does I want to bring the boys out to play in it. Sakura would kill me as she hates being cold/wet/shoved outside . And poor Fiona can't play in the snow because she's an Angora and can't get her fur wet .

Cute! My rabbits play in the snow, but they are outdoor rabbits. Make sure your rabbits get good and dry after their adventure. I have no idea how long house rabbits can go outside in the winter as they have not developed a thick winter coat.

I just open my hutch door and let my rabbits decide if they want to play in the snow. If the temps are below 20F they usually decide to stay in their hutch. On average, they play in the snow for about 20 minutes and then go back into their hutch. On warm days with no snow, they will go out to play on average for one hour and then go back into their hutch by themselves. My Silver rabbit will sometimes spend 45 minutes in the snow, but my Rex does not like the snow as much and often goes back in the hutch after 10 minutes.

Death comes at you snowmen with sharp pointy teeth , bunny sinks it's teeth into snowmans neck. YEEEAAARGH !!

Looks like Baby was having a fantastic time in the snow and got very exited at one point , and the kisses at the end.

I have some pictures of Toky-Ohki in the snow and Schneeball , but they will be almost impossible to find.

So stinking cute. Baby bunny snow binkies. If I hadn't seen the murder for myself I would not have believed such a sweetie was capable of such carnage!
I cannot wait until it snows here. Of course that means it must get colder than the high 60's like it's been I am tired of this warm weather. I want SNOW!!!
