Stinky Bunny

I have noticed that the bunnies have a rather strong onion like odor. I think it's more Ophelia than Oliver. Please tell me this will subside. It's AWFUL! I clean her cage and litter box twice a day and still the room smells of BO. If it doesn't go away I am going to have to buy a lot of Oust.
Is the smell because she is still unsure of the place? Is it because she has not been fixed yet?
She is sweet but rather stinky!

Are you taking about a smell from urine or odour from rabbit itself??
If it is from rabbit itself get your self some Dynamite it is a concentated solution you dilute into a spray bottle and work some through her coat each day. It has a lovely lavender smell and will do her coat loads of good as well as keep her smelling sweet.

If however its her urine try using Keep it clean Lavender hutch spray it is used as a cage cleaner but also is a deoderiser and once you have cleaned your litter tray out you can spray a little on shavings and in litter tray which helps keep the urine smell down.
Lavander products are really good for this kind of problem' but id also make sure any urine was not an unusual colour and rule out any chance of an infection in the water works.
hope this helps you and your buns.

My female smells too. She is unspayed and i think this is why. This should subside when she has been spayed. Not really sure what else to suggest if Ophelia has been spayed...

She isn't spayed yet. Her first vet appointment is this Saturday. The SPCA said they were 2 months. I am hoping that at least Oliver can be nipped really soon and then hopefully Ophelia can get her tuck within a month or so.

I suspect the smell is coming from your buck do they live together at the moment or near each other??

I have his cage right next to hers. I thought it would make it easier to bond them once he is fixed.
I will try the products you mentioned above - where do you get them?

I thought that might be what you are doing and it is the right thing to do and i suspect your wee man has learnt how to spray which is made worse by the doe's presance. But when he is done this will settle so using the products i mentioned will help untill then and can be used after too. The Dynamite you can order from Avondale www.avondaleanimalhousing.co.uk
And the keep it clean lavender is in a lot of pet shops im sure if you ask your local one they will be able to get it for you.
