strange behaviour

I have recently aquired a lopped eared rabbit. I was told this rabbit was a female, but it has been behaving strangely. It runs around my legs, and follows me everywhere, after a few days of this, it started to spray on my legs and feet. It has the freedom of the garden, but when it come inside starts to leave its droppings everywhere. Is this normal behaviour? We intend to have the rabbit neutered soon, will this procedure stop the unsocial behaviour. Also the rabbit needs a larger hutch, are there any plans out there.

My rabbits used to do this and stopped when I got them neutered they were both boy. Your rabbit is circling your leg because it wants to mate or a rabbit does this when it wants some attentions. Being sprayed is not a nice thing male do this to mark their territory and surroundings including you. Females will spray as well but I find it is mostly males that do it. Rabbits do leave droppings everywhere you can litter train your rabbit to cut down on this

ain't managed to 'get down there' yet and have a look - - -looks like a 3 or 4 man job so will wait til weekend. One more thing re strange behaviour; every now and then, whilst indoors, it stamps its rear feet on the floor, quite hard. My daughter thought it was because it was scared but does this in very familiar surroundings, though Graham Norton was on the TV once when it did this.

Thumping is what rabbits do in the wild to warn each other that something is wrong. Your rabbit probably hear a noise that scared her or maybe she caught a glimpse of one of Graham Norton suits. LOL

At last - - - found out our rabbit is Mr Rabbit, rather unfortunate for him as he's off to the vets on Wednesday to get the 'offending' articles removed.
Hope he realises its nothing to do with me, its my daughter and my wife who are insisting, after all, us men should stick together, right ???
Hope this cures his 'nasty' little habbit, would hate to thing he's gonna lose 'em for nothing ! One more thing , have found that he stamps his feet when he hears clapping on the television so gonna have to limit his TV watching somewhat.
