Treacles test results back - not good news : (
Treacle's test results came back yesterday and it's not good news He tested negative for EC but there were some abnormalities in his blood count. Treacle has chronic kidney failure He's not even 2 years old yet either!!!
The vet said if I can get a urine sample from him they can test in case there is a bacterial cause, which is worth a try
It's all such a shock I assumed his illness would be treatable, and i don't know how Fudge is going to cope with loosing his brother either!

I had a rabbit die from kidney failure when he was just over 2. Make sure Fudge gets to see Treacle when he passes away so that he knows where he went. Otherwise he could stop eating.
Sorry to hear about treacle.

I had to rush him to the emergency vets today as he had stopped eating. They found another problem with his teeth (he had them burred 8 weeks ago!!) so he was under anaesthetic again and luckily he pulled through, i didn't think he was going to make it as he's so poorly. If he starts eating i can pick him up tomorrow so fingers crossed!

that's wonderful news! i'm so happy that Treacle pulled through, and i think it's wonderful that you will have him in the house now, since he is a sickly little bun. i hope he feels much much much better now!

Treacle passed away yesterday. He had been fighting illness for so long, then developed pneumonia shortly after new year and could battle no more!

I am sorry for your loss. Treacle passed peacefully I hope and certainly is without suffering now. I hope Fudge is doing all right.

Fudge is quite sad and hasn't really come out of his cage much. I'm going to try and bond him into my pair of girls tomorrow so that he's not lonely, but they all have very strong bossy personalities so i'm not sure how it will work!!!

bonding with the girls yesterday was more like world war 3!!!
I gave up and took him bunny dating today. He's now in my kitchen with a cute black French lop called Amy! It's looking more promising than yesterday but there's still a bit of scuffling going on!
