Update on our babies
One of the litters is 2 weeks old today. They are doing great. Their eyes openned a few days ago.
The other litter will be 2 weeks old tomarrow. They too are doing great. Their eyes openned a few day ago also.

congrats on the new babies..man are they cute! Are you new to the whole breeding thing or have you been doing it for a while? I'm thinking about getting a mini rex rabbit for a pet. Do they make good pets?? |

I think they make great pets. We have 2 now. We bought them just as pets from a pet store. We are selling them now to make room for more breeding bunnies. Thumper likes to chew on the wire. So he now has a furless nose. He is a very sweet bunny. We bring them up in the house to romp around. Speedy is the calmer of the two. They are both about 6 or 7 months old now.
We just started raising bunnies about 3 months ago. The 2 litters are our first surviving litters. Angel had one litter about 1 1/2 months ago. They all died. It was so sad. But she more than made up for it. She had 4 babies this last time and one died(peanut) and Hazel had 2 babies. They are all doing so good. Both mommies are great with the babies. Hazel is very protective. She bites when you try to get her babies. I have to put my hand on her and pet her then snatch the babies quickly before she gets me. lol  |
