We Have More Babies!! Netherland Dwarfs
Angel had her babies today. She had 4 babies this time. They all are alive this time. Last time was her first litter and she had 2 still born babies and one that died the next day. One baby is quite smaller than the others. As you can see from the picture. Hazel builds a much better nest than Angel. Hazel's nest is more like a round tunnel. Angel just added a little straw then covered it with fur. I hope she did enough for them. I may have to take fur from Hazel's nest and add it to Angel's nest so they will stay warm. But with all the babies alive they can keep eachother warm.
Here are the pictures of them. I think 2 of the may be Sia Sables like their mommy. Their daddy is a Blue Himi.

Wow, you are going to have a lot of cute baby buns running around with the two litters combined!
Congratulations! Are you going to keep them or find them homes?

We will sell them. It all depends. We may keep one of them. I am not sure. These are our first two litters. I know our family. We will fall in love with them and not want to get rid of them, but we got into this to breed and sell them.

Aww baby rabbits are so cute, just wait until they are about 3 weeks old and hopping in and out of the nestbox, they are just adorable then. That real little one might be a peanut, if it is they don't last much longer than a few days.

I agree catherine, that little one does look a bit like a peanut. I hope it isn't.
Congrats again though!! Let us know how that little one goes!

I will keep you all updated on the little one. So far he/she is doing well. Just as active as the bigger ones. Seems to be eating too. The little tummy was quite round when I checked on them. So I do know that she is feeding them. I was worried about that. This is her first surviving litter.
With her having 4 babies and it being her first litter to care for, should I foster the smaller one to Hazel? Hazel has had many litters and now only has 2 babies to care for.

I would wait and see.....I don't know much about breeding but if they are all being feed then why create a problem if there really isn't one you know? I'd just keep a close on them and make sure they are all getting fed!

IF you foster one baby, it is better to foster the biggest one out actually. I would just wait and see for a day what happens. If it is a peanut they can't actually take milk so it will be all wrinkly still, their eyes also seem to bulge out more than a regular baby.
A ND should be able to feed 4 babies just fine though Just keep an eye on them and make sure they have fat tummys and aren't wrinkly.

Is it possible that the smaller one is not a peanut and is just small? Cause, He/she appears to be eatting. I checked on him/her today and he/she is still very active and seemed to have a full tummy. Tummy was the same color as the others. What is the possiblities of it just being a runt? He/she is about 2.5 to 3 inches long.
