What is an Emergency?

This is a list (probably incomplete) of conditions considered emergencies in rabbits:

Take to a vet right away:

- Heat Stroke

- Animal attack

- Significant difficulty breathing

- Diarrhea in a rabbit less than six months of age

- Significant abdominal discomfort

See a vet the same day:

- Not drinking for greater than 24 hours

- Not eating for greater than 48 hours

- Significant weakness or lethargy

- Sudden onset inability to use rear legs

- Fractured bones
