Which breed do you think this is?

I don't own rabbits, and don't know much about the different rabbit breeds, so maybe you guys can help.
I have always wondered what type of rabbit this is. It lived in our neighbor's yard (but the poor thing was killed on Halloween).

I'll put some more pictures in when I get them uploaded.

I could literally get one foot away from this rabbit and it wouldn't run. it makes me think that it was, at one time, someone's pet.

looks like a holland lop, but its shape is a bit off, so its likely a mix.

My guess would be holland lop as well...but the nose looks a bit to pointed. What an adorable looking rabbit. I love the photo of it eating those leaves.

That's so sad that someone probably just left it outside like that...domestic rabbits left on their own outside almost never survive on their own.

It was kinda strange that this rabbit wouldn't run from me.........or a rake. He got into our backyard right before the dog was supposed to be let out (a little terrier-beagle mix) so we had to chase him out. I think it's the first and second pictures when that happened. He was really calm, wasn't too afraid of me. I took a bunch of pictures about one foot away from him.

Omg! That looks just like Ruby (aka my bunny!)

That poor, poor thing!
That would be a holland lop right there! Maybe mixed with another rabbit though.. the nose looks a little different from Ruby's...

I hate bunnies being killed, wild or pets.

My cat brought to us, yesterday, a baby rabbit that was about 8-10 inches long, still alive a bit. It had a broken leg and had been bitten in about 3 places. We took it out to the woods and let it be and locked the cat up inside. We came out a few hours later and it was dead. :'(
The amazing part of that is that my cat doesn't have front claws; it was all with her teeth, but it was still a baby this one looked like a wild rabbit.

Aww I'm sorry, poor little bunny.

Unfortuantly cat bites are very often deadly to rabbits, because the bacteria inside the cats mouth. Cat teeth are so long and pointy that they get the bacteria deep inside the wounds, so they can cause pretty bad and rapid infections.

If it had a broken leg it probably wouldn't have survived long anyways, even if it had survived the bites. Probably something else would have caught it pretty quick.
