I am definitely a snake person at heart, though I keep all manner of reptiles. My flying snakes are definitely the coolest snakes I have.

I have a pair of ornate flying snakes ( Chrysopelea ornata). Definitely not for everyone... they're pretty high strung, arboreal, snakes, that are mildly venomous. They get to around 30 inches in length. They almost act more like a lizard, tilting their head to look at you and things like that. Their primary diet is lizards, but they'll frequently eat small mice. They're amazing climbers, and can go straight up the lightly textured walls of my room... and then if they get startled, they'll leap off and glide to the floor and take off incredibly fast.

Can amphibians count, too? Because I'm more into them . I love newts of all kinds but especially adored my paddletails. I really like frogs and toads...I want a Red-Eyed Treefrog some day. I liked my American Toad...they aren't very active or colorful but they are great pets!
I also really like Crested Geckos and want one badly .

Frilled Lizards!!! I've always been in love with them, since I first saw them... don't think I'll ever own one... but they are just beautiful.
