I know quite a few breeders of small lizards...even snakes uses one of those deli containers with air holes poked in the lid...I'd add a bit of substrate in the containers (if your getting a few) put it in a secure box so the container wont get tossed around (can use newspaper around the deli container too inside the box) ...hermies have to be kept warm too...not hot..warm,so an heat pack would be nice to use too (outside the container...shouldnt come in direct contact with the animal).Hope that helps a bit.
I'd also strongly recommend overnight delievery if your going the post office route.
