Transformed crickets

Do crickets usally get wings and turn colors within a few weeks? If so, mine have them and will they eat my smaller crickets? Should I let them go or give them to the gecko's out side? I tried google searching crickets growing wings but I got some weird stuff, so I htought I'd ask the pro's. Thanks in advance..ps when my bf comes home I send some pics of geico!

All adult crickets have wings... that's what male crickets rub together to chirp. But anyway, what I think you're seeing is a cricket mid-molt. They shed their exoskeleton, which usually results in them being light in color and have a disheveled appearance for a few days until the skin comes off entirely.

No, they can't fly... but they sure can jump.

OMG, Do big crickets eat little crickets? I don't mean to be dumb here, but I need to ask this question. I buy crickets as feeders, not as pets, so I hope I am not offending you.

Any crickets I have are feeders as well. Larger crickets will often end up killing smaller crickets, especially if they're starving, they'll eat pretty much anything - or if they're cramped for space. Which is why it's best to keep them with some kind of food and water source that they won't drown in, and plenty of room so they're not all over each other.

So THATS what happened to all my tiny crickets!
I got some for Mr Squishy, and when some of them got wings they started disapeering one by one...
