How do I subscribe to a forum?

I'm assuming that if I subscribe to a form, anytime there is a new post in that forum, I will be notified. Is this the case? If so, how can I sign up?

Go to the forum you'd like to subscribe to and under the new thread button you'll see a link that says "subscribe to this forum."
